While visiting this weekend my sister Katie shared a yummy S'mores treat with us that she recently got from a friend of hers. It was so easy to make and I actually had all the ingredients in the pantry, which is always a plus. They tasted so good, and are definitely a new family favorite! There are already just a few pieces left.
Here is all you need: graham crackers, marshmallows, chocolate, brown sugar(3/4 cup), and butter(3/4 cup)!
With an ingredient list like this, how can you go wrong!?!
Lay graham crackers out on a cookie sheet covered with tin foil to help with clean up.
In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar until well mixed and it becomes a caramel like texture. Pour over graham crackers and bake in 350 degree oven for about 7 minutes.
Add chocolate, we had left over Hershey Bars from the party, so we just broke them up and sprinkled them over the caramel mixture. Chocolate chips would be easy.
Bake again for about 10 minutes to melt down the chocolate.
Sprinkle with marshmallows. Small marshmallows would be easier, but we had some large ones left over from camping so we just broke them apart and sprinkled them on. It should be pretty well covered up with marshmallows, I just didn't get a picture before my sister stuck it in the oven.
Bake until marshmallows start to brown (about 5-10 minutes).
Leave on the counter to cool, then place in refrigerator to allow them to cool and harden.
Cut apart, serve, and ENJOY!
These sound like something I should make for some purpose during the school year. :) - Victoria
